The Devegetation Process

Devegetation is a process that consists of preparing a plant for removal by boxing and containerizing the roots. This allows for the removal of the plant in a healthy condition to then be stored and maintained for future planting. Devegetation also includes the final selection of salvageable boulders, shrubs, mulch, pine needles, cobble, dead branches, and other items which can be collected and then returned to either the original site or other installations when needed. The deveg crews use the inventory team's plan to carry out their tasks. The photos below shows the entire deveg process with a mature tree.
